Acer Aspire One AOA150-1126 8.9-Inch Netbook - White
I bought this pc primarily to use in school for taking notes and writing papers, however I even have been using it for just about everything since I got it. It's faster than I expected (faster than my expensive Piece of C*** HP tablet), however then one in every of the primary things I did after I bought this pc was delete all the unnecessary bloatware. It's light-weight enough that after I drop it in my backpack i do not very notice it, and also the battery lasts an honest five hours, generally a lot of, that is astonishing since it's adveritised pretty much as good for two.5.
The keyboard was a bit strange initially, however currently that i am used to it, my typing has become abundant faster and a lot of correct on it's smaller keys. I bought the copper brown, that may be a nice, understated however fascinating brown (it's virtually the colour of cola, or low with a sheen). My solely real criticism is that the speakers are beneath the front bottom fringe of the pc, thus if you're using it as a laptop the sound is muffled. Oh, and conjointly the screen includes a fairly giant plastic border... i am certain there is some mechanical reason for that, however alternative computers this size have smaller borders with larger screens, and so are a similar total size. I mean, I bought the eight.9 as a result of I needed a smaller pc, not a smaller screen.
All in all this can be a good very little pc. Fits perfectly on those little faculty desks with space to spare, hasn't crashed once within the month I've had it, and it's faster by virtue of XP instead of Vista (I imagine it will be even faster once I dump XP entirely and cargo up Linux). Another fascinating note, i used to be sitting close to a lady with a brand new Eee computer a few days ago, and that we started up at a similar time. By the time hers was loaded and prepared, i used to be already knee deep in note-taking and had 3 alternative programs open and running. Why, why Acer, did you have got to discontinue this terrific very little laptop?? Even my thus, who's a bloodthirsty Mac user, likes this pc.
