Spot Stain Removal Tips and carpets and secrets
In Part 2, we will help you solve some common spills and stains that can often become stains.
Remember, as discussed in Part 1, the coloring occurs when a foreign substance enters your carpet fibers, damaging them and change their appearance. Some spills are more likely other stains and the likelihood is influenced by the type of carpet fibers in question. Keep in mind that how you act quickly after a spill can determine your success!
Accidents happen, and that the Scouts say: "Be prepared"! Make the following handy for quick retrieval. You'll need white absorbent cloth (towels are great) and the four elementary solutions below. Please note and check that your carpet is color fast and safe to clean by testing all solutions in an inconspicuous area before you apply a solution cleaning your carpet.
Cleaning solutions:
detergent solution (alkaline) - 1 teaspoon of mild detergent and half a pint of warm water.
Detergent solution & Vinegar (Neutral) - Add 1 tablespoon of white vinegar in the detergent solution.
solution of vinegar (acid) - 1 / 4 cup vinegar and half a pint of hot water.
ammonia solution (alkaline) - 1 tablespoon Coffee branded household ammonia to 1 cup hot water.
Solvent solution (Ph n) - We recommend Goo Gone Citrus solvent.
Kool-Aid and stain remover - Yes we can!
You may have hired professional carpet cleaner and Kool-Aid been withdrawn by pulling a bottle of some no doubt expensive stain and applying an iron. Well, you do not necessarily need to buy expensive professional products to remove stains red. With special care and a regular store bought product that you can remove them too! Although not as effective as a stain remover formulated professional undiluted Parsons Ammonia All-Purpose Cleaner can eliminate a large number of synthetic dye stains.
How to use: After rinsing the applied discharge ammonia liberally with a spray bottle. Take a clean sponge and soak it in water, only a little sound the excess water. Place damp towel over the stain by folding ironing steam half and place, steamed, on a towel and let the iron heat the ammonia. Check every 1-2 minutes by moving a towel and iron to see how effective the treatment. If the stain is removable, you should see a change in the 4 minutes. Be sure to keep a wet towel to protect your carpet from melting. Do not leave iron unattended or on site for more than 5 minutes. There is the possibility of losing part of the carpet's original color when heat is applied for too long.
WARNING!
We do not recommend using bleach to remove stains from carpet, EVER! Not only can you damage your carpet, but bleach mixed with some chemicals can cause dangerous and potentially explosive gases.
Now we will discuss specific spills and stains and how to address them:
Most water-based substances have a pH: a scale that measures the balance of alkalinity and acidity. Generally, when you fight against the Ph of a point, it is easier to remove. For example, many soft drinks have a low pH, which means it is acidic. By applying a cleaning solution with high pH (alkaline), you bring the pH of soda more neutral (neither acidic nor alkaline).
Removal of Spill:
Food & Beverage
Beer, coffee, candy, most cocktails, soft drinks, ice cream, fruit juice, wine, mustard, ketchup, Grass, chocolate, tea, sugar-based spills, Tannin base case spill, other foods and drink.
Apply detergent & Vinegar solution and blot. Follow the directions for spots dye if the color remains. If the stain does not come out he may need a professional oxidizing stain remover.
Organic spots
Blood, eggs, milk, faeces, vomit, sauce and some leftover food and drink spots.
Apply detergent solution to identify water rinse and dry. Follow the directions for dye stains if color remains. Rinse with water and dry. If the stain has not released it may require professional stain remover oxidant.
/ Spots-based petroleum oil
Adhesives, Nail polish, tar, lipstick, grease, ink, pencil, rubber asphalt cement, varnish, paint, oil,
Apply Goo Gone. Rinse with water and dried. Repeat if necessary.
Synthetic (man) dyes
Food color, the remains of other places, drugs
Apply detergent solution & Vinegar gently. Rinse with water and pat dry. Follow the directions for dye stains if color remains. Rinse with water and dry.
Spots rust
Spray white vinegar instead let the vinegar to remain on site for about 30 minutes. Then rinse and dry place. Repeat If rust remains.
Traces of urine
Urine stains are some of the most difficult to remove. The best chance for reference comes within 24 hours of contamination. If the stains are recent (24 hours) applying the detergent solution. Rinse with water and pat dry. After 24 hours apply vinegar solution to rinse water and dry. If the stain does not come out, it may require Professional spot remover oxidant. Another effective method of treatment of urine that the owner can use is to use a product containing enzymes such as Natures Miracle. However, heavy deposits of urine soaked the carpet in the buffer and may require professional attention.
Blood
Apply ammonia solution (cold only) onto fabric. Blot, working from the outer edge of the interior space. See below for final rinse procedure. If the stain can not be removed with this method of monitoring a treatment for rust stains.
spots Unknown
Remove excess residue. The use of solvent solution followed by clear warm water, dry. If further treatment is necessary, use a detergent or a vinegar solution of detergent and dry.
General advice
Remember DAB rather than rubbing, do not soak the carpet, and although you may not completely remove stains they can always be removed by a professional cleaning company.
