Metallic Nail Polish Mirror

Tools for tile
For laying ceramic tiles, a plumb line and spirit level are required to put in line for vertical horizontal and true, a few thin strips of wood are needed to support the lower rows of tiles as work progresses, a notched spreader tile adhesive, a tile cutter, a pair of pliers and a towel are also needed. A template tile culting will accelerate cutting straight lines, a tile saw can cut curves. Use a sharp knife to cut the cork tiles, a pair of scissors or shears for metal tiles, a cut-glass mirror tiles and a brick to strengthen and club hammer to the bricks and tiles pressed imitation stone, if necessary.
Find level
The next step is to establish a baseline level with precision around the room. Never trust a baseboard to a level more than likely using a plinth as standard means that the horizontal lines are not truly horizontal, and the tiling is completed by a return to the starting point the lines will not line up.
Draw a line on the right wall around the room with a latte and a bubble level for coincide with the lower edge of the bottom row of whole tiles. Along this line of slim pin strips on the wall with masonry nails, do not drive not the house of nails, because the slats will be assessed again. If nails can not be driven into the wall (a wall of antique tiles, for example) get the horizontal strips by placing them in small stacks of tiles. Then, using a spirit level or plumb line, mark a true vertical line on the wall where tiling is to begin - at the edge of the last vertical row of whole tiles (from a solid wall) or coinciding with the first row of whole tiles next to an open window or door. A vertical batten can be nailed along the vertical line as a guide additional.
Fixing the tiles
Spread the tile adhesive on the wall with a notched trowel, covering an area of approximately one square meter at a time. Draw the spreader on the adhesive pressing to the teeth touch the surface of plaster below the notches, then ensure that the adhesive spreads to a standard depth. Place the first tile on the batten horizontal line on board with the vertical guide line and press gently but firmly to the wall. Add the next tile alongside the first, with the spacer legs barely touching, and verify that his face is at level than the first tile. If the tiles have spacer lugs, matches or use tile spacers between tiles. Continue along line until the edge of the area is reached, then add a second, third and fourth row, checking all the time that the tiles are perfectly aligned with each other. Spread the adhesive over the area along the top of the slat wall, continues to add up to entire tile that the area is covered or until an obstacle such as a door sill or window is reached. Lime to time, use a spirit level on a lath to check that the tiles are quite horizontal.
Cutting tiles
Near a window, it is usual to divide the shows and the threshold himself with tiles with rounded edges or sharp glossy overlapping the edges of the tile on the face of the wall. So, the next task is to score and cut pieces of tile to go on the wall under the window sill. Mark the tile with a pen or pencil Chinagraph, then mark the front face of the tile with a tile cutter. To break the tile along the dotted line, either press the CITHER side of the line on a straight line, or use a pair of checkered snapper with angled jaws. If the cutting edge is rough, use a rubbing stone tiles (a kind of coarse abrasive-like stone pumice) or an oil stone soaked in water to smooth the edges of the tiles. To cut an L-shape, make a cut with a tile saw and the other with a cutter tile. Cut and assemble the parts close to the tile that frame the window opening, then answer the round-edged tile in the show, by placing the edge perfectly round on the edges of the blanks on the face of the wall. Fill the tile with tile shows the whole or cut into pieces necessary.
Tiles on the openings of doors and windows
Fix support battens on doorways and windows to make the first row of tiles on the opening cut. These, and the slats of the main support close to skirting board level, must be left in place until the adhesive has had time to play - at least 12 hours, and preferably 24 - or tile to slide under their own weight. When they were removed, cut and turned on the border pieces needed to complete the paving, butter sticks to the back of each piece before pressing into place. To cut pieces border turn the slab back to front, scored two points on the sides of the tiles to the position of the fold line, then turn the tile over, Profile and it will break.
Proceed
Turning a corner, set the first vertical row of whole tiles on the wall at the front side to fill the cut pieces in the corner. Patterned tiles, retain a semblance of continuity pattern using cut pieces of the same tile to fill gaps on either side of the angle.
Level changes
After laying the tiles that existing half-height of arrest wall, there is a change in level to deal with. If the step is relatively low, setting the last row of whole tiles with their upper edges just above the stage and behind the gap with plaster, allowing this to harden before the laying of tiles on all above the stage. Steps more than about 12 mm in depth can not be disguised in this way. With these you can stop tiling on top of old tiles and finish up the tile with a slat hardwood or tile pieces cut horizontally placed, or to introduce a visual break in the form of a narrow wooden tray or quadrant tiles sold for installation in the corner between the wall and a bathtub. The alternative is to bring the upper half of the wall to the level itself - with sheets of MDF or plasterboard, for example.
Injection
When installation is complete, the next task will be to fill gaps between tiles with grout. Apply with a plastic scraper or sponge, forcing it into the interstices between tiles. Remove excess grout from the glaze, as and smooth the grout lines with a wet finger or a layer of small rounded - a lollipop stick used is ideal. Do not let the grout to set the glaze as it may be difficult to descend. When the grout has set, polish the tile surface with a clean dry cloth to finish the job.
