The long nails were emerging here and there for some time now people like Rihanna and Fergie. And first you guys are not having it. At all. But they stick around, apparently. In fact, Fantasia wore them in last night as you can see here.

I think the change is attributable to a couple of things: 1) With Minxing and new options for nail art, it's just easier and more fun to play with your fingers in general. And 2) It's cheaper than costume jewelry, whether it's a bit of recession the environment.
