Introduction to Tang tricolor (Tangsancai) Luoyang, Xi'an Pottery
Luoyang a city famous in the middle of China, specializes in the manufacture of handmade art Tang tricolor (Tangsancai) ceramic particularly those of reproduction.
Tang tri-color (Tangsancai) refers to the tricolor glazed pottery of the Tang Dynasty (618-907A.D.) A painted terracotta, which appeared in the wake of celadon. Like yellow, green and white are normally used, it is called "light" although some parts are also two or four colors. Developed on the basis of the green and brown glazed pottery of the Han dynasty, it represented a peak in the development of Chinese ceramics and was well known throughout the world in its time.
Usually dug Tang tricolor are horses, camels, female figurines, dragonhead mugs and figurines of musicians. Of these, camels tricolor won the greatest admiration. They are presented as bearing loads of silk or performance of the musicians on their backs, as if the faithful reproduction of images in the life of the people of Central Asia of the time they trudged along the Silk Road with the ringing of bells and camels. Tricolor glazed pottery of the Tang Dynasty was developed some 1,300 years ago. Not only does it show the full beauty of smoothing and colored glaze, it has high artistic treasure Chinese culture.
The tricolor Tang prospered for a short time period (8th century) of the dynasty, when pieces of pottery this category were used by aristocrats as funerary objects. So, discoveries today are limited in number and are considered like rare treasures, prized for their bright color. It is very cheerful and happy to have the wonderful art.
Imitations now produced in Luoyang, Xi'an and other cities in China are seen as decorations for their resemblance to the works Authentic.
