G. Buckner WALKER, JR.

G. Walker Buckner, Jr., has degrees in law and business before starting his study of art in 1977 at the Art Students League's New York City and the National Academy of Design. He is now a professional artist full-time maintaining studios in Boston and Sheffield, Massachusetts.

Feeling a bit uncomfortable describing his technique as he worked Weir Farm, Buckner said: "It is difficult to say much about painting. The expression of the painting is a communication without language. He should do his job without much chatter. Despite his words of caution, Buckner offered insightful comments on his concerns as an artist: "Obviously, over time a painter acquires the means to solve problems. Buckner and Peggy Root (another participant Weir Farm output) are the parents of young children and for health reasons, got the oils and alkyd resins, sometimes using Liquin alkyd medium and accelerate drying time.

THOMAS S. Buechner

The cover story on Thomas S. "Being interested in all sorts of technical, I originally saw this release as a chance to leave my own predilection for strong light and shadow to investigate Weir is later, the pale palette. GERARD Doudi

Gerard Douda is the first painter to have been nominated for an artist invited to Weir Farm (photographer Gretchen Garner was visiting the artist 1991-1992). As such, he was able to use facilities there while painting the landscape.

Douda, professor emeritus of art at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, is well New England known for his large paintings of ponds, wooded areas, and numbers.
