American Idol 2010 so far is looking really disappointing. It begs the question ... Is this really a sample of the brightest and the best that America has to offer? It simply can not. I hear better singers in church!
Doubtless there is some raw talent here. But what it's going to take these children to grow quite rapidly. Paige Miles likes coloring books and color studies Katie Stevens kiss phrases in all languages.
Compare these pastimes with Scott Lilly, who plays several instruments and has a tattoo on his arm music. Who has the passion? Who spends enough time to delve into music? It the key to pass through the proverbial door in the collective unconscious where raw, fresh talent flows like water.
Sometimes it is easier to artists very young to the nail. They get their passion early. Shaheen Jafargholi it has always and sings whenever he can. I had those chills the first time I heard the hearing of Shaheen.
That's why Katie can not even name a young artist or song she loves. She can sing, but not actively to define themselves by listening to other artists well defined. The result ... on entire map. She did not dazzle us. She waves.
Put all of the next stop, I'm going back to the question. How do these singers raise the bar for themselves before it's too late? There can be only one winner at the end of American Idol 2010 season. But there may be several careers made in the interim.
If these children were my patients or clients, I fear the purge basic (basic is unconscious) their young psyche. I'm with my patients to leave their God-given talents. As long as these candidates are sabotaged by their heart the belief (usually "... People like me do not become superstars."), They will continue to fall below the expectations of the judge. Why, because their performance will always agree with their unconscious beliefs.
What defines the talent? Who do we love to love and love hatred? And where does raw talent come from? It is another world. And the only way to do this is to open locked doors.
